A jumpscare doesn't necessarily require the subject itself to be especially scary. We can go for something slightly unsettling.

If we manage to agree on anything with props like wings or extra limbs I could cast a small illusion to make them act and look more lifelike.

I'm going as a type of demon, so maybe not. Birds have wings, insects can have one or both.

Isn't it obvious? You could go as a white feathered harpy or even a mothman with that hair of yours. You even have enough upper body strength to make wings believable.

Don't you dare get your head lopped off right before I take you to a party. How the hell do you expect to share a drink and talk gossip if you're in two pieces? Or worse! In the infirmary as they try to bring you back to life - unable to attend the party at all!
